Artist Spotlight: Spin Doctors

Spin Doctors are a rock band that emerged from the vibrant music scene of New York City in the late 1980s. Consisting of Chris Barron (vocals), Eric Schenkman (guitar, vocals), Aaron Comess (drums, keyboards, percussion), and Mark White (bass), they quickly became synonymous with their infectious blend of rock, funk, and blues. The band initially cut their teeth playing local clubs like the legendary CBGB, cultivating a loyal following with their energetic live performances and Barron’s distinctive vocal style. Their breakout came with the release of their 1991 debut album, Pocket Full of Kryptonite, which catapulted them to international fame. “Two Princes,” one of their most iconic tracks from this album, is a quintessential ’90s rock anthem that captured the era’s carefree, yet earnest spirit. Its catchy guitar riff and sing-along chorus helped the song climb the charts, making it a staple on rock radio stations and MTV rotations. Despite the ebb and flow of commercial success over the decades, Spin Doctors have remained a staple in the rock genre.
