Artist Spotlight: Ruth B.

Ruth B., born Ruth Berhe, is a Canadian singer-songwriter who burst onto the music scene in 2015 with her viral hit “Lost Boy”.

Born in Edmonton, Alberta, to Ethiopian immigrants, Ruth began playing piano at a young age and honed her songwriting skills throughout her teens. Her breakthrough came when she posted a 6-second video on Vine, which eventually evolved into “Lost Boy.”

Ruth’s debut EP, “The Intro,” was released in 2015, followed by her first full-length album “Safe Haven” in 2017. Her sophomore album, “Moments In Between,” dropped in 2021, featuring the popular track “Dandelions.”

Ruth B.’s music is characterized by her soulful voice, introspective lyrics, and piano-driven melodies. Her style blends elements of pop, R&B, and folk, creating a unique sound that has resonated with listeners worldwide.
