Artist Spotlight: Old Dominion

Old Dominion is a country music powerhouse that burst onto the Nashville scene in the mid-2010s. Formed in 2007, the band consists of lead vocalist Matthew Ramsey, lead guitarist Brad Tursi, multi-instrumentalist Trevor Rosen, bassist Geoff Sprung, and drummer Whit Sellers.

Before their meteoric rise to fame, the band members were established songwriters, penning hits for A-listers like Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, and Dierks Bentley. This songwriting prowess would become the backbone of their success as performers.

Old Dominion’s breakthrough came with their 2015 debut album, “Meat and Candy,” which spawned hits like “Break Up with Him” and “Snapback.” Their unique blend of country, rock, and pop influences, coupled with clever lyrics and catchy melodies, quickly garnered them a devoted fanbase.

The band’s 2017 follow-up, “Happy Endings,” solidified their status as country music’s new golden boys. It included the chart-topper “Hotel Key,” a playful ode to fleeting romance that showcased their knack for storytelling and infectious hooks.
