Artist Spotlight: Muse

Muse is a British rock band formed in 1994 in Teignmouth, Devon. The trio consists of:

Matt Bellamy (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards)
Chris Wolstenholme (bass, backing vocals)
Dominic Howard (drums)

Known for their ambitious, genre-blending sound, Muse has become one of the most influential rock acts of the 21st century. Their music fuses elements of alternative rock, progressive rock, classical music, and electronic genres, creating a signature sound that’s both grandiose and intimate.

Muse’s breakthrough came with their second album, “Origin of Symmetry” (2001), which established their penchant for theatrical performances and complex compositions. Their subsequent releases, including “Absolution” (2003) and “Black Holes and Revelations” (2006), catapulted them to international stardom.

“Madness,” from their sixth studio album “The 2nd Law” (2012), showcases the band’s ability to craft radio-friendly hits while maintaining their experimental edge. The song’s electronic pulse and Bellamy’s vulnerable vocals mark a departure from their typically bombastic style, demonstrating their versatility.
