Artist Spotlight: La Luz

La Luz is an all-female surf rock band that emerged from the vibrant Seattle music scene in 2012. Led by guitarist and vocalist Shana Cleveland, the group quickly gained a cult following with their hypnotic blend of reverb-drenched guitars, dreamy harmonies, and retro-tinged aesthetics.

The band’s sound is a captivating fusion of 60s surf rock, doo-wop, and psychedelia, creating a uniquely moody and atmospheric vibe that sets them apart from their contemporaries. La Luz’s music often explores themes of love, loss, and the supernatural, wrapped in a hazy, sun-soaked nostalgia.
